Reading supplement labels

A good label is a quiet one: clear, specific and easy to read. BreathiZen is a handy label to practice on.

1. Serving size

The label lists a serving as 4 sprays, or 0.60 mL.

2. The blend

A proprietary blend shows one total. BreathiZen lists 154 mg.

3. Named extracts

Look for each plant by name, such as mullein leaf, ginger root and organic lemon.

4. Other ingredients

Water, glycerin, flavors and preservatives make up the liquid itself.

5. Storage and cautions

Keep away from heat, light and humidity. Read the caution line too.
